Our first stop in Natchez, as recommended by all the tourism materials, is to stop off at the Natchez Reception Center which I might add, was well worth the visit. Free softdrinks and/or coffee. A cool gift shop with Mississippi culture, the Mississippi Welcome Center, a Hotel/BB Reservations desk, Natchez Ticket Shop, Natchez Exhibits, A very tech-savvy Visitor Planning staff, National Park Service Information (and headquarters), ATMs, Phones, a cool 20-minute show “The Natchez Story”, trollys and downtown transportation connections, Internet/email kiosk, Natchez logo gift shop, and some really nice exhibits. We decided to walk the Trolley Route of the pamphlet they gave “Historic Natchez on the Mississippi Tour Planner”.
